How can I spruce up my weedy front lawn and make it look greener?

Whip over to Walmart or your home store & buy a couple of bags of Scotts or some other Fertilizer that contains a weed killer..Follow the instructions..you will have a decent lawn in a month or two.

use round up to kill most of those weeds you just spray it on and the weeds are gone.thats what would make your lawn look nicer the weeds gone.

Try a weed killer like Ortho Weed Be Gone (which is a post emergent weed killer) and wait a couple of weeks and apply a weed and feed which contains a pre-emergent weed killer and fertilizer. Weed and feeds should be applied twice a year once in the fall and once early spring. But be prepared to mow more often because your grass will grow like crazy. At least it does here in south Texas.
Don’t use Roundup it will kill everything and you Will have a patch of dirt for a front lawn!

If you don’t want to spend any money at all this is what I did. I dug out the weeds and planted the grass I wanted into the lawn. Make sure you water it in when you transplant the new grass. I got the grass from other section of the lawn.
Chicken poo is also good for the grass.

Plant more weeds. No i am kidding. Go to your local Walmart and buy a bag of grass seed. i live in Canada and i bought a bag for $2.98. that is cheap.then since you don’t have much money if you have a garden rake(the metal ones) rake your grass and weeds with it. Then sprinkle grass seed over it and water it everyday. it needs to stay wet in order for the grass to grow. if you want to get rid of the dandelions then here is a cheap inexpensive way to do it without harming your grass and other plants. if you can get a hold of any small cylinder that is either hard plastic or metal that has a hole straight through it, than you can poke that into the ground right next to the weed. Get it in far but not all the way where you won’t be able to pull it out again and go to the store and get some borax. mix it with some water and pour it down the cylinder. it will kill the roots of the Dandelion and they will die. it can be a pain in the butt, but it is a cheap way to get rid of them and you will have a nice lawn again.
