Have bare spots on my lawn from parking on the grass. How do I get the grass to regrow?

I also need to get it to regrow on a pathway from the car to the doorway. I have stopped parking on the lawn beside the driveway and allowing people to walk through my yard. Please help me with tips and suggestions. Thanks in advance.

loosen up the dirt with a rake or something so it is good and loose. Put some seed down (you can even over-seed) and rake it in. Give it a good water and water it every other day in the morning right before the sun comes up. In no time you should have grass growing again. OR you can buy some sod and lay that down, but with seeding, you’d spend less $$$$.
Good luck!

i think the best way is to turn the soil and reseed if want to make an omelette you have to break the egg

Rough up the soil where the bare patches are and rake over some new top soil, ,making sure it is level with the old soil level. Throw down some new grass seed, and water until it takes hold. You could also use a specific fertilizer for lawn/turf to boost growth in these areas when the seed has grown a few inches. Preferably you would not do this in winter months as most grass goes dormant during this time.Spring being ideal. Maybe you would consider using some other surface as a pathway as grass as you know does not put up with a lot of traffic.

Reseed, and park elsewhere

J’ever notice how grass has a way of growing up through gravel driveways or between the cracks in sidewalks? Well, that is evidence that it can be pretty tough stuff.
Therefore this may not be the problem you think it is. The grass may be dormant -but not dead. Assuming you live in the USA and it is HOT where you are now, this is the worst time to attempt a lawn job.
For right now, just water those bare areas and see what happens -you may be surprised to see the grass either pop up, or encroach from areas where the lawn is still good. If you yearn for something green, however, then toss some “contractors quick-cover” in those spots. This is an annual grass that will die off in a year, but meanwhile it will help lossen the soil and get some biology working for you. It grows very quickly. In mid fall, if no recovery is evident, then scratch up or till the soil lightly and sew some perennial grass seed. You may also cover it with an inch or so of top soil.
Next spring, recovery should be well underway.
